Our lily of the valley has gotten out of control what can I do? I would like to replace them altogether around the front and cut back the area in the back yard.

Lily of the Valley does tend to colonize a planting bed if left to its own devices. I'd dig the plants and pot them up individually to share with friends, replanting only a few. You'd be surprized how many gardeners would love to have your plants! Spread the word and you're sure to find new homes for them.
