| Is it true that Endless Summer Hydrangea can tolerate full-sun as the hang tag on them says? I have tried planting some on the North side of our house and they always look wilted. Also, planted some on the west side of our house where they get some sun and some shade, and still look wilted. So, I am confused as to whether they truly do need a lot of sun or semi shade? |
| Hydrangeas will grow in full sunshine. Wilting leaves in the afternoon is a natural reaction to intense summer sunshine. To avoid this, plant your hydrangeas where they will receive morning sun and either filtered afternoon sun or afternoon shade. If the only site you have receives full afternoon sunshine, expect the foliage to look wilty. It will recover overnight and look just fine in the morning. |
