I have hosta's that are really big. I would like to seperate them to get more plants out of them and put them somewhere else in the garden. When is the best time of the year to do this?

Thank you
caroline

You can do this almost anytime but the best times are very early spring and early fall. Replant immediately and water well to settle the soil, keep the soil evenly moist until they are re-established. Enjoy your hostas!
