How do you care for annual stock? Do you have to prune the flowers? Thank you.

Matthiola incana should be deadheaded, yes, to promote longer bloom. It does better in cool weather however so it may stop blooming or even die out over the summer. It does best with ample sun and moist but well drained soil meaning not sopping wet. It also needs good air circulation as it is somewhat subject to fungal problems.
