I like the Purple Blush eggplant offered in the 1998 catalogue. What are the soil, temperature and light requirements for this plant? |
Eggplants have the same cultural requirements that tomatoes have; full sun (8-10 hours a day), water when the top of the soil dries and water deeply so all the roots get their fair share of moisture. The bush grows 2-3 feet high so make sure there's enough space between plants as you sow your seeds. Each of the little purple flowers is a potential eggplant, and you can expect to begin harvesting about two months after the blossoms show. |
