I have a 4' golden larch tree that is out of shape. Can it be pruned and if so when and how? I just transplanted it to my yard two weeks ago from a Monrovia container.

Thanks Tracy

You can prune your new larch tree to remove mis-placed branches and achieve a more symmetrical shape. Larches lose their needles in the fall and should be pruned to shape after the coldest winter weather is past, but before the warmer weather (>50?F) sends the plants their "wake-up" message. Best wishes with your new tree!
