Answer: The curve in the trunk will remain where it is so if you want it higher, you'll need to stake it straight (to the point where you want the arch to be). You should be able to straighten it without harming it as long as the trunk is still pliable. When the bark grows rigid, it will hold the trunk in whatever position it is growing.
