Answer: Lavender Cotton (Santolina) grows in full sunshine, in well-draining soils. They do not need routine feeding and they can get by with almost no water. It may be that you're treating your plants too well; they seem to thrive on neglect. Try watering them thoroughly and then allowing the top 2" of soil to dry out before watering again.
