how do i properly care for and fertilize

Sharmai,

Poppies are planted in the fall (about late September or early October) in a full sun location. They really don't need fertilizing but you can provide a light dose after plants are up and going well in the fall and/or in late winter. The most important thing is to make sure the soil stays slightly moist especially in the first month or so after planting.
