I have had a brussel sprout plant growing in one of the pots outside for about 1.5 months and it seems to be growing, its about 1 foot tall but its all leaves. There are no brussel sprouts. Not even a sign. Also I was told that this is a cool weather plant. Since I started the plant from seed when should I actually plant, to get a fall crop?

Brussels sprouts are one of the vegetable crops that take longer to mature, about 90-100 days. Days to maturity will be included on seed packs or in catalog descriptions, so you can determine when you want the crop and work back from that. Good luck!
