I live in Flagstaff Arizona at 7,000 feet, with rocky soil, where temperatures drop dramatically between day and night. Is there any particular variety of pecans that could tolerate these conditions? |
Pecans are well adapted to Southern Arizona but winter freezes and spring frosts may be a hazardous to successful nut production at 3,500' elevations and above. Winter temperatures in the zero degree range will limit tree survival at higher elevations. |
