I live in Flagstaff Arizona at 7,000 feet, with rocky soil, where temperatures drop dramatically between day and night. Is there any particular variety of pecans that could tolerate these conditions?

Pecans are well adapted to Southern Arizona but winter freezes and spring frosts may be a hazardous to successful nut production at 3,500' elevations and above. Winter temperatures in the zero degree range will limit tree survival at higher elevations.
