I planted two bluberry bushes last spring, according to directions. They are about 2 to 3 feet tall. I picked the flowers off when they bloomed as instructed. Do I need to prune them? When would be the best time?

Since blueberries are rather slow growing, it's a good idea to prune them sparingly during the first few years. It is best to prune just enough to shape it or to remove broken branches. In our climate it is best to do the pruning in the early spring so winter injured wood can be removed.
