| In my experience a deer or woodchuck is the most likely to eat the top off of a tomato plant. You will need to determine what did it and fence that animal out or possibly try a repellent spray (sold at garden centers, there are formulations for deer and other animals) to protect your plants. Otherwise they will continue to browse and your plants will never be able to grow. If the animal ate more than a tiny bit, I think you may want to replace your plants. Since it is so late in the season, make sure you replant with a quick producing variety. I'm sorry. |
