Bougainvilleas are not picky about soil pH. They will grow in slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils. As long as the potting soil is well draining, bougainvilleas should adjust well. Since these plants are tropical in nature, you'll need to keep yours indoors over the winter months. Fill your container with any good grade of potting soil and everything should be just fine. Enjoy your bougainvillea!
