| Ornamental pear is really a good tree for the size of the site and will provide 3-season interest. Or, you might consider Cornus kousa (dogwood). These small trees provide spring flowers in white or pink, and most develop beautiful fall colors. Either selection can be maintained by annual pruning (after flowering has finished).
