Hi -- I purchased a white bower vine and a red riding hood mandevilla, both came with bamboo in them as support .. however, i'm not sure what to use as support now that they've outgrown their original sticks. The mandevilla is in a large pot on my patio, and I'd like to plant the bower vine in the middle of a flower bed. Please advise.

Neither of these vines will be winter hardy in your area, so I would suggest you keep them as container plants, simply adding a small trellis to the stick so they can grow upward and then allow them to trail down and spill over the edge of the container. This will look fine and also make moving them indoors simpler if you wish to try to keep them for next year.
