| My Local Home Depot store only has China Boy, Blue Maid, and Blue Princess holly bushes in stock. We took a chance and bought the CB and BP in hopes pollination will work. What's your opinion...thank you! |
| It could work, if they bloom at the same time. Otherwise, you may have to add a different male or two. Blue Stallion is usually paired with Blue Maid but since it blooms over a long period it is often recommended as a pollen source for other blue hollies as well, or you may want to go with the matched pairing of China Boy and Girl, Blue Prince and Princess. One male is sufficient for several females, so you may even discover that a neighbor has a male that can provide the pollen for your female plants. Good luck with your experiment! |
