Ruscus is also called Butcher's Broom and it is a member of the lily family. If both male and female plants are present (or if you have a plant that has both male and female flowers), bright red (or yellow) fruit follows the flowers. Ruscus is difficult to find! I located only one nursery in California with this plant. Contact them - they may know of other sources. Worldwide Exotics, Lakeview Terrace, 818-890-1915, or fax 818-890-2776.

Enjoy!
