I have my fig tree in a large pot under my my pool enclosure to protect it from the birds and ants. I have been watering with coffee grinds and egg shell tea. My leaves are starting to turn brown and fall off. This is a 1 1/2yr old tree, I have left the fruit on it and it tasted great. I will start to take fruit off. Thank you

Sue,

Hold off the coffee ground for a while. They are acidic and the roots of that tree are pretty confined being in a container. Try to keep the soil moist as the heat of summer puts quite a demand on it and a container plant will dry out very quickly. The fruit can be left on the tree until harvest.
