I planted a Mock Orange 5 years ago which has never bloomed. Although in June it had 1 branch with 1 cluster of flowers.
Do they usually take this long to start flowering?
Should I prune it back hard, maybe take out a few of the older stems?

Thank you

I have heard a number of gardeners say their mock orange has taken a long time to begin to bloom, like yours, despite different attempts at pruning and fertilizing and so on. So yes I would have to say this is not all that unusual. If it is starting to bloom I would suggest you not prune for another year or two, just to see how it goes. Good luck!
