In mr previous question I asked about amending soil. I am sorry. The garden I was talking about is a vegetable garden. The garden is lined with timber so its like a raised bed. I was thinking about replacing about 4

Your plan sounds like a good one. You can amend the soil at any time of the year, but planting is best done in the spring, or if you want to grow cool season veggies (lettuce, cabbage, etc.), you can fix the planter up now and plant seeds or starts in mid-August or early September.
