It is not unusual for a few of the leaves to turn yellow in mid-summer. Foliage has a specific life span and plants tend to drop the oldest leaves (those near the bottom or on the insides of the branches). As long as your hibiscus is putting out new growth and flowering on schedule, a few yellowing and dropping leaves shouldn't cause too much concern.

Best wishes with your plants!
