I have bradford pear trees on my property right now. I will be moving to florida next year, and i wanted to know if this tree will thrive there? My new property is 5 acres close to the St johns river, and I believe that comes up as zone 9. I absolutely love every aspect of these trees, so if not would you please recommend another simmilar tree. I want to use them as a border line around my property. thanks |
LuAnn, Bradfords will have a very difficult time in zone 9 due to a lack of winter chilling and the long intense summer heat. I would not waste the time and money to move it. You will find there are many other great trees for that area when you arrrive. Good luck with the trip! Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
