I purchased a tropical plant at Home Depot and the name on the pot was BROM. I would like to know more about this plant...ie: where it comes from? what type of soil it needs to be planted in? and how to keep the color in the top portion of the plant. I transplanted it from a 4 |
Gene, To add to the answer the top color is something that comes with bright light, not necessarily direct sun and perhaps cooler temps. Bromelliads often get that color when they are blooming. After blooming the main stalk may decline lose color and eventually die while side shoots continue to grow to rejuvente the plant and increase its spread. Hope this helps! |
