Can the JAPANESE ARALIA be pruned? I have one planted five years ago that is now way overgrown. Would love to trim it down if possible. Thanks.

Fatsia japonica, the Japanese Aralia, can be cut back hard in the springtime without compromising its health. If you wait until spring to prune, when the plant is poised for new growth, it will regrow quickly and cover your pruning cuts. Best wishes with your fatsia!
