| Tomato production has more to do with the variety and its heat requirements than with the fertilizer you use. In the Pacific Northwest we get better results with short-season varieties of tomatoes (Stupice, Santiam, etc.) than we do with long-season varieties such as Beefstake. This simply means that the cool season varieties mature at a faster rate and have lower heat requirements. As long as your plants are receiving all day sunshine and you're watering when required, all you can do is wait. Best wishes with your tomatoes! |
