The Q&A Archives: blue girl holly

Question: how close to my blue girl hollies should i plant a blue boy holly for optimal pollination?

Answer: Closer is better, since the pollen is moved by insects. A rule of thumb might be to plant them on the same side of the house or building and within about thirty feet if not right next to each other or in a group. Enjoy your hollies!
