We recently bought a new home and have no shade...we have lots of landscaping but I'm wondering what perennials, annuals or flowers in general will do well in FULL sun and work in landscaping?

There are many different plants that will thrive in full sun. Besides the sun however you will also want to take into account the type of soil you have, the usual soil moisture levels, whether or not it is windy where you want to plant, and the amount of maintenance you wish to provide for your plants. Your budget, your time frame and the space available to be planted are also important considerations. You will want to develop an overall plan for your landscape first, then make individual plant selections based on the above parameters. Your local county extension and local professionally trained nursery staff should be able to assist you in analyzing the growing conditions and identifying plants that will meet your needs. If you have an extensive project you might also consider hiring either a landscape architect or a professional landscape designer to help you. Best of luck with your project!
