The Q&A Archives: Little gem spruce needs help!

Question: I bought a dwarf picea

Answer: Unfortunately based on your description I am not able to tell you what has happened. Browning can be a sign of poor rooting, or incompatible soil, of planting too deeply, it could be a pest or disease problem, or it could be due to under or even over-watering. I would suggest you consult with your professional nursery staff to try to determine what happened and why -- and if the plant can be saved. I'm sorry you have had trouble with it.
