I planted orange gladiolus out back and within 2 weeks all the flowers went from beautiful flowers to brown wilted looking things. What's wrong?

I'm not sure I understand your question. If your gladiolus produced a flowering spike and the flowers opened, then died, it's a natural progression and nothing to worry about. Glads bloom for only 7-10 days (which is how long it usually takes for the flowers to open progressively from the bottom of the flower spike up to the very tip of the spike.) You can cut the flowering spike off after the flowers have faded, but allow the foliage to remain until it yellows and withers down on its own - then remove it from the garden. Best wishes with your garden!
