I have a 6 year old girl with an asthma issue. After ttouching the plant she developed a rash on her toes and fingers and eventually it moved to other parts of her body, The doctor claims it did not come from the medicine she was on. Now I would like to know if anyone has reported any allergic reactions to the mandevilla flowers or leaves?
Thanks.

I've read that mandevillas contain a latex-like fluid within its tissues which can cause dermatitis in sensitive individuals. I'd certainly keep your daughter away from the plant!
