Which varieties of clematis are the most shade tolerant? TIA, Kisa

In my experience they all need full sun to bloom well. While they will tolerate shade, they will grow sparsely and bloom less and less. If possible, direct sun all morning is a minimum. If the spot has some direct sun or very bright dappled light all day, you could experiment and see if you are happy with the results. Sometimes just a few blooms lighting up a dark corner is a lovely effect.
