i just recently planted an adonidia palm, here in florida. I noticed the bottom palms are turning yellow with spots..some of the reg. colored palms are also getting spots..does this mean they are k or mg defficient? please help before they die lol |
Samantha, If is is a deficiency there is not cause for alarm as such are not going to kill it overnight. I suspect the problem may be due to some lack of nutrients as the plant tries to establish a good root system. In its current state its roots are not that extensive. I would try adding a little K and Mg using whatever fertilizers are available in your area. Just don't overdo it. The palm will get established in time and should improve. The following web site offers more info on palm tree nutrition: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/EP052 Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
