adonidia palm - Knowledgebase Question

i just recently planted an adonidia palm, here in florida. I noticed the bottom palms are turning yellow with spots..some of the reg. colored palms are also getting spots..does this mean they are k or mg defficient? please help before they die lol

Samantha,

If is is a deficiency there is not cause for alarm as such are not going to kill it overnight. I suspect the problem may be due to some lack of nutrients as the plant tries to establish a good root system. In its current state its roots are not that extensive. I would try adding a little K and Mg using whatever fertilizers are available in your area. Just don't overdo it. The palm will get established in time and should improve.
