I have a small pond covered with white water lilys. Some friends want to start some in their ponds. How can we take lilys from my pond and get them started in another? |
Water lilies can be divided just like any other perennial plant; each division should have roots and at least one leaf (for photosynthesis). If the water lilies are in pots, simply unpot them and divide; if they're planted directly in the ground, dig them up and divide them, then replant the divisions in pots for your friends. |
