The Q&A Archives: Lemon Cukes

Question: I am limited on space but would like to grow the heirloom lemon cukes. Can they be trellised to grow up?

Answer: Lemon Cucumbers can absolutely be grown on a trellis. As a matter of fact I think it is much easier to grow most cucumbers this way, it makes the best use of space and speeds harvest. Not to mention, it's the way my dear old grandpa grew them and of course, he never did anything wrong! (And, yes he did grow Lemon Cucumbers...or "Lukes" as he liked to call them").
