Which way does my Texas Purple Wisteria twine? Clockwise or counter clockwise? I just purchased this about a month ago. It has one long runner and I want to make sure I've got it secured in the right direction. Thank you for your time. Jeanne

Japanese wisteria twines clockwise.

For future reference, if you're not sure whether you've got a Chinese or a Japanese Wisteria and you can't tell from the shape of the flower clusters, look to see in what direction the vines are twining. Wisteria floribunda, the Japanese Wisteria, twines clockwise (picture forming the letter J, for Japan), while the Chinese Wisteria twines counter-clockwise (picture forming the letter C, for China).
