I am looking for a plant that will be evergreen in the shade. I have a large bed inbetween 2 trees that gets about 2 hours of morning sun on half of it. I have planted (these might not be the scientific names) mexican petunias around the bed, liriope in veregated shades next and in middle I wanted something bold, evergreen and somewhat tropical. Only 1/2 of the space gets any sun (2 hours from 8 - 10. I was interested in the cast iron plant, but am afraid it won't tolerate any sun. Any thoughts? |
Staphanie, Cast iron plant will be fine for that area. So will Japanese Aralia (Fatsia japonica) and Aucuba (Aucuba japonica). Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
