I live in New Jersey, and I bought a tropical houseplant. A yucca Elephantis is what the tag said. It lives outdoors during the spring, summer and part of fall; up to October/November. The leaves growing out from the main stem seems to have what looks like roots. are they replantable? If so, how? Thank You. |
Yucca elephantipes is usually propagated by taking the babies or offsets that grow at the base of the trunk (or by seed). I do not think you would normally propagate it by leaf cuttings but you could experiment and see. Use a very well drained or sandy soil mix and water only sparingly. Good luck with your plant! |
