Are my boxwoods dying? There are several brown spots on them, but they are still producing new green growth? Should I prune out the dead parts?

If entire branches are dying, I'd look for root problems such as poorly draining soils; if only individual leaves are dying, it's probably a normal shedding of older leaves. Since they are producing healthy new growth, I don't think the problem is extensive - it could be winter kill that's just now showing up. In any event, prune out the dead portions to encourage the development of healthy new stems and foliage.
