I am looking for a type of petunia that wont get leggy or stop blooming when the temperature rises. I have read that new varities are coming out, but I can't find my gardening magazine that was featured the new variety. I live in central Florida, zone 8-9 and need a nice border plant.

Burpee has a new variety called 'The Waves', which comes in several different colors. These petunias grow under 6" tall and should do very well in your area. You will find them on Page 7 of the Burpees 1998 catalog.
