Two hurricanes have damaged our community in the last ten months. I have lost several trees (thousands of dollars to have debris removed). What can I plant that is a fast-grower and will survive high winds (100 mph +)? |
Cheryl, I am very sorry to hear about your losses. Trees are such a valuable asset to the property. There is little that can survive winds like that. Palms do pretty well, but when it comes to shade nothing else can take the storm very well. The following web site will provide you with a lot of great info on trees for your area. It should help you choose trees that best suit your interests. http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/woody... Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
