I was interested in buying some lycoris bulbs. My local garden center says that this will not available until later in the fall. However on redaing about this bulb it seems that the best time to plant is in summer when it is dormant. I live in Milwaukee,Wisconsin. Is this a good time to plant and if so where can I buy these bulbs.
Thanks.

These bulbs are usually sold along with other spring bulbs for fall planting. They will be shipped as bare bulbs. Since that is when they are available, we gardeners do not usually have much choice about when we can plant them. I woudl plant them as soon as you receive them though. Good luck with your lycoris!
