When should hollyhock seeds be planted?

You're in USDA zone 5 with a last frost date of about mid-May. You can safely plant your hollyhock seeds in the ground beginning the first of June. If you want to start them indoors, you can transplant them at about the same date, but get blooms thatmuch earlier!
