WE have a Mimosa tree and it is growing so fast I have to trim it and transplant it. No one I have asked has a answer as to when and how to do this. The tree is about 6 ft. tall and just as wide. I love the tree and do not want to lose it. Could you please give me some information? I would really appreciate it. Thank You Arlene |
You can prune your mimosa immediately after it has finished flowering next spring. If you prune now, after flower buds are set, you may lose some of the flower display for next year. These trees will grow 12-15 feet high and wide so yours sounds like it is growing at a normal rate. Enjoy your mimosa! |
