Iwas told that Knockout roses are beetle resistant but my roses are being riddled by those beetles now. I have sprayed with 'Sevin' so far.

Knockout is highly disease resistant but I am not aware of any rose that is beetle proof. Carbaryl (in Sevin) can be used to kill the beetles, some gardeners have had success using a spray containing neem to repel them. You can also try handpicking them off early and late in the day. Sometimes treating them at the grub stage using milky spore or beneficial nematodes can also help over a several year time span. I'm sorry there is no magic bullet where this pest is concerned.
