The Q&A Archives: Transplanting

Question: What time of the year can I transplant Chester Thornless Blackberries without losing them to shock,or someother problem?

Answer: Brambles (blackberries, raspberries, etc.) can be moved in the fall or in the winter months. Most of these plants are sold bare-root in late winter and can be planted then, but it is also common practice to dig and divide the plants in the fall when growth slows.
