I planted my shrub in full sun and I planted according to the tag information, this plant had gotten worse and worse looking and has finally died this week. I don't understand what may have happened.

Tom Thumb does not guarantee their plants, I paid $29.99 plus tax for this shrub. I planted it that evening and I used

Firstly I apologize for the delay in answering your question and I am sorry you have lost your plant. Unfortunately any warranty would be through the retailer so there is not much I can do on that. Usually it is a good idea to seek out assistance as soon as you realize there is a problem in case it is something that can be controlled if caught early enough. Based on your description I am not certain what happened however Abutilon or flowering maple generally can only handle full direct morning sun in hot summer areas such as yours, rather than full sun all day long. So I wonder if it was just in too much sun. I'm really sorry about your plant.
