I want a 3' hedge. I get good morning sun, then shade from a big cedar. People say boxwood will grow 9-10

If you like the look of boxwood, plant Winter Gem. Winter Gem is the hardiest of the boxwoods and reliably retains its dark green velvety foliage color all winter long. It grows 4-6' tall and wide but can be pruned to maintain a smaller size. Best wishes with your landscape!
