| We have just purchased a new house with an area at the bottom of the yard that is full of old trees, shrubs and lots of weeds. There is also a damp creek type gully in the middle of these old trees. We want to clear out all the damaged trees, shrubs and weeds and plant some new trees and shrubs that will tolerate shade and a wet moist area whilst at the same time provide a privacy screen between our yard and the yard behind this area. We know conifers may not thrive well here but would welcome any suggestions for deciduous, evergreen and tall quick growing shrubs and trees that may do well in this area. |
