The Q&A Archives: Golden Chain Tree

Question: How and when do you prune a Golden Chain Tree?

Answer: Laburnum is slow growing and has a nice natural shape and should not require much, if any, pruning; if there is storm damage however you would tidy it up right away, you would also remove any winter-killed wood. You would also remove any root suckers as soon as you see them. I hope this answers your question.
